Manchester Theme: “Back In The Day”.
There will be sponsored slots, adverts and competitions held on Real Radio, Smooth Radio and Rock Radio. Each morning in the Rock Breakfast show and Real Breakfast show, the presenters will play a montage of clips from Back in the day. They might include a TV Programme, a great football result, a big No1 hit, or name of the person who won Wimbledon that year, listeners have to call in and guess the year to win a pair of concert tickets, money for a baby sitter, transport and a meal out. These stations have a total of 1. 38 million adult listeners per week across the northwest.
The radio stations will provide ground crew in each PCT area (concentrating on hotspot areas and areas of high deprivation).The ground crew will be out for 5 days from 11th May. They will distribute the entry forms for the competition. The entry forms will be split into two halves, top half will be made up of informative Hep C information, the bottom half is the entry form which will be torn off leaving the Hep C info in the hands of that person.
Music Event, Albert Square, May 19th 2009
On May 19th Rock FM will host an event with Rock Bands in Albert Square. A stall with HCV material and trained staff will be in attendance. Free (healthy) food will also be provided to encourage members of the public to engage with the health professionals.
Health Worker/stakeholder Event at Sculpture Hall, Manchester Town HallOn May 19th a Stakeholder event will be held to inform people about work of GMHCVS. Each project will have a table of info. The Service Redevelopment Project will start its Stakeholder Analysis for Characteristics of the Proposed HCV Service. Dr Sheila Will is the Key Speaker, with a presentation by the Programme Manager.

The GMHCVS is providing marketing kits for local health care teams who wish to run an event in their own area. So far 23 health teams across GM are running a local event. The Marketing Kit is available from email@example.com
