Day 133 June 23 2013

Mum dad web

Everybody says I look really well. It’s the first thing they say when they see me. Even I can tell I look better, although I’ve put all the weight back on that I lost in Ibiza. When I tell people how much weight I’ve put on, they nod silently. I should stop fishing for someone to say I haven’t.

I’m just back from a few days at my parents. I decided to go there for a few days last week, as I’d hit a bit of a wall. I was exhausted and down and I needed to recharge. I spent five days there and I feel like a different person now. Louie came to fetch me from the car to carry my bag up to the flat. First he said you look well. Followed by and you are in a good mood! I don’t think I’ve been much fun recently.

The pictures are from my parent's house and garden.

Thanks for your comments and Maggie yes I did read your treatment diary before I started treatment. I found it really helpful. I don't really know if I've had side effects. I was always ill before I started treatment and felt ill on the placebo and then was very overworked at the beginning of the real treatment. Now I've been able to rest a bit I feel much better. And the travel thing has been a pain. I've lost so much money rebooking flights that AbbVie won't reimburse

I don't know if you've read my diary but I think we may be to blame for the 'not travelling' as I was on the trials last year and travelled lots and swapped days, they probably got p****d off with it but we even paid for 2 return flights from the south of France just for an appointment!! Anyway all that aside I have just sat and read you diary from start to finish and apart from a really numb bum I am really happy you have now done the 'proper trials' and what bloody fantastic news, your are HEP C Free. I didn't have many side effects at all or perhaps I have just forgotten, I don't want to forget because I don't want to ever become complacent. Anyway enough said........Big hugs...Big love..Big Healthy Future.....May the NHS realise that it is cheaper to pay for Hep C drugs than it is to pay for a liver transplant because that will be the next BIG HURDLE......and thanks to all at Kings ..they are fantastic.
